Quick Bypass to 2-step

Can I simply jumper (reconnect) this white wire connection to remove the 2-step to do simplify some trouble shooting and rule it out? If I installed correctly, I may just be able to unplug the 2-step brown and white and reconnect the ends.

The white wire just detects engine rpm. To bypass completely, you would need to unplug it from the fuse box and put a normal fuse back in.
