SO, im looking at what I can do when my stock maf takes a dump. This is a pretty interesting piece. I have an aluminum maf from a chevy truck. I think it might be like the mafs people use and would save me from buying another. I will have to look at the part number and see.

I have the 42lb injectors so I guess this would make my TT5.6 chip non adjustable. If I wanted the extreme it might be developed in the summer? It seemed this would be fairly equivalent to the TT 5.6 as far as the adjustablity. I don't plan to have a 10 sec car. I doubt it will even be an 11 sec car any time soon. It is my daily driver and reliability is more what I'm after then if we can have fun on the w/e at the track that just adds to the experience.

I'm a kiss kinda guy and this seems pretty easy to adjust. I guess I need to start saving my nickels

The Axis box has no effect on your chip. The 5.6 chip will still work like it always has, and it's user adjustable parameters will work. It's the adjustments inside the Axis box that will not work correctly without the special Axis chip.

If you use a regular TT chip (5.6, 5.7, 6.1) with the Axis box, the Axis will work like a basic Translator. So you could still upgrade your MAF and use your old chip.

I'm back looking at this piece. My maf seems to not be doing well. The scan master is only going up to 199 on the af and it is surging at wot and doesn't seem to pull . This leads me to believe a different maf might be in order. I am meeting up with a fellow TR owner to borrow a stock maf and a lt1 maf he has. If the stock one works I will probably order one of these axis pieces and wait for the chip for the 42lb injectors to be developed or when I can save up for the 60lb injectors.

Reading the instructions it appears the cruise timing might be adjustable. Ive gotten to the point in my life that gas mileage has started to be a concern. I know, I'm getting old. I understand the chip will be needed.

Thanks for your hard work on these thirty year old cars. It sure helps keep mine on the road.
