New maf translator runs bad with 3 known maf

Car runs with aftermarket reman stock maf but the screen came out. So I decided to go to maf translator. And lt1 sensor.

all 3 sensors have been checked on a running lt1 Car and they work fine.

Car runs really rich and blows blk smoke out of exhaust and has like a rough running miss.

When I unplug the translator unit it's clears up and runs.

What could this be?

Double check the settings inside. Also try turning all the switches on and off a couple times to make sure they are seated.

What settings do you currently have in the Translator box?

I have Turning the knob and tried all the other settings same issue.

Sounds like there may be a problem with it.
