E85,125s - Hard to cold start

Eric,

I finally had a chance to start trying to dial my T-Top/SD-2 car in. I have set the injector offset according to the instructions you gave in a previous post. The cranking fuel is maxed out at 50 on the parameters page. With this really cold weather we have had lately I had to use the alky injection to help get the car started. Once it fires off, the warm-up routine, etc. seems to be fine. I have tried several different adjustments to make it cold start better. I am attaching a BIN file and would like you to look at it to see if there is something I am overlooking. I zeroed out the spark/alch settings and ported the wastegate hole since the 6266 turbo would spike 36psi boost :eek:and I don't want to blow it up. ;) The tune is NOT completed for WOT so please don't think that it is (always room for improvement). Please take a look when you have time and let me know what you think. I do have TunerPro on my laptop so if there is an adjustment that can be made in there but not in the Powerlogger software I can take care of that.

Thanks for the continued support.

Jeremy

Edit to add: I have tried increasing the VE in the cell where cranking Map/rpm occur a little at a time up to an unrealistic number with no result as well. I have also opened the throttle blade while cranking to see if maybe I was way too rich. My understanding is that the IAT/Coolant tables only affect it once it's in the warmup routine when actually running but I have increased those as well with no results(reset them back to default afterwards)

I will need to change something in the chip program to allow much more cranking fuel. If your address is still the same, I can send you a new chip to swap you.

Yes Eric, my address is the same. Could this be because this chip was originally burnt for 80lb injectors? I did try to go past 50 in the cranking fuel setting inside Tunerpro and downloaded that program to the powerlogger but that didnt change anything. I'd greatly appreciate whatever you can send. I can send the current one back along with several others I've accumulated and don't need.

Thank you very much!!!

Sent out a chip today. The cranking fuel is scaled up much higher, so I would put the user cranking parameter at zero to start with and go from there.

Thanks so much Eric!!! As soon as it arrives, I will send the old SD2 chip along with several others I have collected over the years back to you. I assume there are parameters in the chip that cannot be seen in tunerpro for making the adjustments needed?

Eric,
The new SD2 chip arrived this evening finally. UPS misrouted it so shipping took a bit longer. No worries though. I will install Friday and then ship out the old sd2 chip. Next day off is Friday. Just wanted to keep you updated. Thanks!!!
