Backfire in intake on 2 step

Got 2 step installed and tested today. Having backfires in intake when activates. I had rpm set at 3000 and tried it with 0,8 and 16 retard. One time it cleared up and worked ok out of about four attempts. Otherwise car runs strong with no miss or issues. Running 6.1 chip on e85. Thanks for input!

It's possible it needs to be richer when that happens. Do you have a log? What boost are you getting up to?

I will log it tomorrow afternoon and post. I didnt have laptop in car today. It would get to about 10lb boost and then when it backfired boost and rpm would drop. One time it was backfiring in intake than cleared up and it went over 20lb boost on 2 step.

I may have to make some adjustments to the chip for the 2-step.

For now, make sure the mid boost correction is off, and try adding, say 15% fuel to the mid boost fuel parameter.

Eric did you get a chance to look at PL log? I added 12.5% fuel to mid boost fuel and mid boost correction is off. It seemed ok once and then popped in intake again. When I come up on the 2 step should I gradually roll into throttle or just mash it on the floor? Ive attached a PL log from today with fuel added. thanks

Yes I looked at it. We're going to have to modify the chip programming. If you want to send the chip in, I can reprogram it.

Thank you Eric. I am stuck daily driving my GN for a week or two until I can replace my wifes car. I can send my chip back after we get another vehicle. I also just replaced my Dutt neck IC with a CAS V4 so I dont know if you need to do any change for that.

No need to send anything. The chip is actually on its way back, so you should see it any time now. Try it out and see how it goes.
