Axis & 6.0 Wideband chip with Alchy WOT 26 lbs burned 2009

Hi Eric it's been a while & have a quick question.
The car is & has always been Rich but especially at idle & the smell of fuel is pretty strong.
I think either the engine has an issue or I need a new chip & that will be my next move down the road.

I probably asked you this before & forgot but do I open the Axis box & take out the low end fuel there or do I use the chip? I'm hoping I can open the box & take out the fuel. If my Wideband A/F gauge is correct in Drive it idles around the 13.8 range. I just installed new plugs & was hoping that would make a difference but no change. Thanks David

You can make adjustments in the Axis box, but that won't really change much because the computer will "learn" around it to put the air/fuel where it wants (which is 14.7 while cruising, and mid 13's for idle).

If it's idling at 13.8, then that's perfect and not causing a smell. Smells are more often from burning oil or misfires, or lack of a cat converter.

Eric thanks its partly having no cat on it for sure & I'm going to check my PCV but all my other numbers are good. Thanks again Cheers!
