A few questions, Retune required? Bigger injectors?

Hey Eric,

I sent an email a few days ago, not sure if you received it or not, so figured I'd post here.

Question, I recently bought a injector/chip combo for another Ty I recently acquired. (order #22393)

I bought it with 60lb injectors, and 2 chip program (93 octane/E85). Stock turbo/heads/intake. Stock truck overall.

I’m doing a bunch of work to the truck and recently discovered that the turbo will need to be removed and rebuilt. However, instead of rebuilding the old one I went with a new bolt on 20G unit from sportmachines + a 3in downpipe.

2 questions.

Will I need to send back the chip for a reprogram for the new 20G? I am assuming so for both tunes (93/E85)
With the E85 2nd tune option, will the 60lb injectors still be enough? I’ve read a few posts on the syty groups that the 60lbs would be duty cycle limited, and I should have gone with 80’s. However reading the info on your site said the 60’s should be fine with what I am planning on doing with the truck. (fun street toy, nothing crazy) I have all supporting fuel modifications (lines, 340 pump..etc)

New truck configuration and modifications:

20G Sportmachines turbo (went from stock in original tune)

3in downpipe, JSM flange (went from stock in original tune)

Upgraded larger lower CCHE with fans, stock upper intercooler.

Stock heads/cam/intake
PLX wideband
3Bar MAP
Accufab FPR at 43lbs no vacuum line
Cat removed

Once I get it together I am sure I’ll have some more questions getting it dialed in regarding base tune info. I can send the chip back to you. I have yet to use any of the stuff a bought so if I need to send back the chip for a reprogram its no problem. If you have any other recommendations or questions please let me know

You should be fine. I would turn up the WOT fuel dial on the chip 2 clicks.
For E85, on the 20g, I think if are keeping the boost around 20psi or so, then you should be ok.
If you plan to run more boost, like 25psi, then you might need to go to 80's and at least a 340lph pump.
