Scanmaster Temp reading

I have the AXiS box and chip installed, and followed the directions of splicing to the brown temp sensor wire, leaving the sensor unplugged. My Scanmaster reads 81-82 degrees back and forth. Is this normal or did I make a mistake?

Yes that is normal. It's not a real temp reading, just ignore it.

Thank you sir for the response- also I was getting a low AF reading, although the vehicle is running great, I’ve got an idle of 3-5 and WOT maybe 120. Is this chip similar to an extender with a half AF reading on the scanmaster or do I have another issue?

Yes, you need to double that reading.
