Not connected

I have installed ecugn. The car does start but the labtop tells me I am not connected when car is cranking and starts no info is showing up on labtop?

Is this a new install? In other words, did it previously connect?

Is the software all installed and activated, and are you opening your project folder that was on the USB drive?

What version of windows are you using?

I am using widows 10

Yes I have the usb in labtop and have been using custom startup tune from usb
That tune on usb is also saved on labtop

I you look in the windows Device Manager, under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section, when you plug in the USB cable, a new port should appear, like USB Serial. Then disappear if you unplug it.
Does that happen?

I am connected using a different cable .
When I use supplied cable USB serial port comm3 appears and disappears while plugging in and out.

So you are connecting ok now, but with a different cable? If so, I can send a replacement cable.

Hello Eric if u want to send another usb that would be great. My Ecu # is 42.
I am pretty green at this. I am currently having trouble with tuner studio loading up or running like it was . I can connect to the car still, but my tunes do not load. I am not able to get the file tab to drop down. Also the only tab I can select up top is the gauge cluster tab all the other tabs are missing I did install latest version of tuner studio but was no change. Hope u can help ?

I would uninstall TunerStudio and reinstall the original software from the USB drive. If you have changed your tune, make sure that's saved.

I have uninstalled and installed software from usb drive. While trying to load TunerStudio I get warnings during msq load on rpm value higher than maximum. Also tried updating firmware which now cannot detect controller, I am not connected to ecu though. Also I did visually damage my usb drive but all files appear on labtop. Not sure if this could be the problem? Uninstalling and installing original software from usb made no difference I am still not able to click on file tab and all tuning tabs are gone?

Can you send me a screen shot? It almost sounds like you are not opening the custom project file.

You definitely should not be changing firmware. You might need to send it back to me.
