Extreme G vs TT 5.6

I got my translator and chip and got everything installed. I was running a TT 5.6 chip now I have the Ex G chip installed. IS the boost setting already burned into the chip and if not is it something that I can set through the GenII? I have not driven the car much after the install because I wanted to read up some more before I really go play with it. My TT chip says 23 deg 21deg and 23 psi. Do you have any instructions on where to start with the settings on the genII to get back to the power of my 5.6 chip? Right now the car is running a bit rough at and just off idle. I am pretty new to the turbo buick tuning.

Hi,
There is a default boost level in the chip, but it will vary from car to car. You'll have to experiment to see where you're at now. You can adjust boost by either adjusting the wastegate, or (if still using the wastegate solenoid) you can bump the solenoid duty cycle up or down in the chip user adjustments. It is not adjustable in the Gen II. It's best to start low and work your way up.
For the timing, you'll need to increase it up to the 21 degree range if you want to match your old chip.
All the instructions I have were sent along with the Gen II to you.
Let me know if you have any questions.

This work thing is really getting in the way of my fun lol. Have not had a chance to touch the car in a few weeks since I posted the question. Decided to go out and play with it a bit tonight and when I fired up the car it was very obviously in limp mode. Smoking like crazy and running really rough. I shut the car down, disconnected my ECM Wire and popped my TT 5.6 chip in, car ran fine. Swapped back to the Extreme G chip , and right back to limp mode. I checked my MAF translator and it was set to my LS1 aluminum MAF, Extender Pro output, (Tried Extender too and no difference). Any ideas or is my chip just bad??

Thanks for the quick reply, No the C\E light doesn't work. The car runs really REALLY rough and smokes like crazy. If I pull the chip and start the car with no chip it runs the same as with the G chip in.

What about malfunction codes on your scantool?

I would inspect the pins on the chip to see if any of them got bent.

Also, you might need to retension the socket pins like this:

If none of that works, then you'll have to send me the chip to check out and fix.
