Ecu laptop start up

I have a new engine installation with the turbotweak software install and laptop connected. Engine turns but doesn’t crank. Fuel pump works but isn’t getting power so it doesn’t come on. ECU has power.I have the laptop connected through USB but the screen says NOT CONNECTED. Is there a configuration I have to do before it connects? Thank you.

There is no config required. Win 10 should have the required drivers built in.

However, you can try installing the extra drivers I put on the flash drive, to see if that works. It was meant for some windows 7 computers, but it might work. The file name is "USB Drivers CDM...".

Does the fuel pump light on the ECU come on for a few seconds when you turn the key on?

No the light does not come on but I’m having issues with my fuel pump. It does not activate. I can get it to pump through the fuel rail by adding power to the FP prime. I bypassed the after market FP wire, put it back to stock and testing the wires to see where the problem is. I’ll try the extra drivers.

If the fuel pump light doesn’t come on for a couple seconds when keying on, then something must have shorted and blown the ECU’s internal 12v fuse. It will not connect if that happens. The most common reason that fuse blows is a bad IAC. I can send you a new fuse, or you can send me the ECU to change it.
I would get a new IAC, Delphi part CV10033, and change it out to be safe.
